New four-season high performance compound / This is Hankook Tire's new four-season compound designed for high-performance vehicles. A high concentration of silica was added to enhance the grip force on all surface conditions (wet & dry & snow).
Wide outside block & high stiffness / Dry handling performance is improved by the expanded outside shoulder block and increased lateral stiffness. A wider outside shoulder block ensures good dry handling performance, lateral stability, and steering response.
Applied shoulder chamber / The shoulder chamber maintains uniform grounding by suppressing the deformation of the block edge during driving. Uniform grounding improves dry performance by increasing grip on dry road surfaces.

Snow traction is enhanced when the end points (biting edges) of those tiny cuts open a bit as the tread is pushed against the road. All of those tiny open points (biting edges) effectively bite into snow and create additional traction.
Wide lateral grooves / The 3% wider lateral grooves increase the void volume, which improves grip performance in the snow because it grabs more snow.
